LME base metals mostly lower on Monday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mostly lower on Monday before EU emergency summit on Greek debt default in Brussels.

Investors were cautious before a eurozone leaders summit on Greek debt crisis this evening.

In the metals, the three-month unofficial copper price dropped 19 U.S. dollars, or 0.34 percent, to 5,647 U.S. dollars per tonne.

In other metals, the three-month unofficial aluminium price was at 1,694 U.S. dollars a tonne, equal to the previous trading day's price. The three-month unofficial lead price lost 28 U.S. dollars, or 1.55 percent, to 1,773 U.S. dollars a tonne. Meanwhile, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 23 U.S. dollars, or 1.12 percent, to 2,029 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 150 U.S. dollars, or 1.19 percent, to 12,490 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial tin price lost 100 U.S. dollars, or 0.65 percent, to 15,225 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
