Four Dutch tourists killed in bus overturn in southern Portugal

One more Dutch tourist died on Friday bringing the total fatalities to four in a bus overturn in Algave region in southern Portugal late on Wednesday night, According to Portuguese Lusa News Agency.

A 64-year-old Dutch tourist has became the fourth victim of the bus crash after succumbing to his injuries, a spokesperson for Faro Hospital was quoted by Lusa.

The spokesperson also confirmed that five other Dutch tourists remained in hospital but their conditions were not immediately known.

The accident took place at around 11 p.m. local time (2200 GMT) on Wednesday as the bus crashed off A22 highway while carrying 33 Dutch tourists from Faro airport to the hotels in the Faro-Portimao area where they will stay.

Three Dutch tourists died on the scene and 31 others injured including the Portuguese driver who sustained a serious injury. Endit
