Chinese investor in talks to buy Jorge Mendes' Gestifute

Portuguese soccer agent Jorge Mendes is in talks with Chinese consortium over transfer of his company Gestifute, according to Portuguese media.

Mendes alongside his private lawyer showed up in Shanghai, China, where he was believed to be in talks with Chinese investor.

Gestifute is a leading brokerage company with the rights of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodrigues, Jose Mourinho.

It was said that purchaser from China is intended to take over 50% business of Gestifute.

The identity of the Chinese buyer has not been revealed.

Last month China's Wanda Group became the official owner of 20% stake in Spanish La Liga champions Atletico Madrid. In February, Wanda acquired Swiss sports marketing company Infront Sports & Media in a deal valued at about 1.05 billion euros.
