Xinhua, June 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Colombia's Carlos Bacca has been handed out a provisional match ban as punishment for his red card received at the end of the Copa America match against Brazil.

The suspension means that the forward will not be able to take part in Colombia's final match of Group C against Peru on Sunday.

Copa America's Disciplinary Tribunal dished out the suspension on Thursday while they deliberate over the final punishment.

The player was sent off after the final whistle was blown on Colombia's 1-0 victory against Brazil in Chile's Monumental Stadium. Bacca was involved in an aggressive dispute with some Brazil players.

Brazil's captain Neymar also received a yellow card for his involvement in the confrontation. Both Bacca and Neymar await to hear their final punishment which will be announced on Friday according to Copa America's official website. Endi
