NATO showcases new spearhead force capability in Poland

NATO staged on Thursday a military show in Poland to showcase the capabilities of the very high readiness of its new Spearhead Force.

U.S. F-16 fighter jets, transport helicopters, Polish tanks and more than 2,000 troops from nine nations took part in the exercise in Zagan in southwestern Poland.

For the first time, a whole spectrum of NATO Spearhead Force's capabilities will be tested. NATO underlined that all exercises are of a defensive character.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Polish deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Tomasz Siemoniak watched the show by allied troops. Endit
