Singapore stocks close 0.77 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished 0.77 lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 25.49 points, or 0.77 percent, to close at 3,300.42.

A total of 1.11 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 866 million Singapore dollars (646 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 241 to 180, while 546 others finished unchanged.

The STI index up 27.82 points, or 0.84 percent, to close at 3, 325.91 on Wednesday. Endi
