Philippine shares close 0.94 pct higher

Philippine shares closed 0.94 percent higher on Thursday.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index increased by 70. 55 points to 7606.86. The all-share index went up by 28.05 points, or 0.65 percent, to 4352.18.

Trading volume reached 654.63 million shares worth 6.90 billion pesos ( 152.86 million U.S. dollars).

There were 89 gainers, 71 losers while 42 stocks closed flat. Endi
