Bangladesh's minister among 25 receive death threats from banned militant outfit

Bangladesh's Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and Dhaka University Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique were among 25 persons allegedly received death threats Tuesday from a banned militant outfit.

Militants published the hit-list in a letter to the Dhaka University vice chancellor on Tuesday.

A Dhaka University official, on condition of anonymity said the Ansarullah Bangla Team which was banned last month sent a letter by registered post to the office of the Dhaka University vice chancellor.

The letter wrapped with a white envelope mentioned the names of the 25 eminent personalities.

A Bangladesh Police official said the investigations are underway. Endi
