State Power Investment Corp. names senior leaders

Xinhua, June 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission announced Tuesday the senior leaders of the newly-established State Power Investment Corp. (SPIC).

Yu Dehui, Yu Jianfeng, Ma Lu, Shi Jialin, Wei Suo and Xia Zhong were named deputy general managers and leading Communist Party of China members of the SPIC, according to the statement.

Meng Zhenping and Wang Binghua were previously appointed the general manager, and chair of the SPIC, respectively.

SPIC was established after the merger of leading Chinese nuclear power companies China Power Investment Corp. (CPIC) and State Nuclear Power Technology Corp. (SNPTC) on June 1.

Combining the technology and operational capabilities of CPIC and SNPTC, the merger aims to increase competition between China's three major nuclear corporations.

The two other key players are China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) and China National Nuclear Corp. (CNNC). Endit
