Tokyo shares end lower on woes in Greece

Tokyo shares ended the trading Tuesday lower as sentiment here was punched by concerns over Greece's future in the eurozone and caution before the outcome of a U.S. central bank policy meeting.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 129.85 points, or 0.64 percent, from Monday at 20,257.94.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 12.06 points, or 0.73 percent, to 1, 639.86.

Decliners were led by banks, shipping and steel products.

The turnover was about 2,263.9 billion yen (about 18.34 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
