Tokyo stocks open lower on concerns over Greece

Xinhua, June 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks opened lower in early trading Monday, as a lack of progress in Greece's debt talks dimed investor sentiment.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 167. 80 points, or 0.82 percent, from Friday to 20,239.28. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 11.61 points, or 0.70 percent, to 1,639.87.

Decliners were led by mining, securities and steel products. All industry groups saw declines except for textiles and apparel issues. Endi
