British FTSE 100 drops 0.9 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday decreased by 0.90 percent, or 61.82 points, to 6,784.92 points.

The London stock index closed lower on Friday as concerns about ongoing Greek debt talks continued to weigh on investor sentiment.

Royal Mail's share price increased by 2.78 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. BT Group, ITV, easyJet and Antofagasta increased by 1.49 percent, 1.16 percent, 0.63 percent and 0.62 percent respectively.

Johnson Matthey led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.12 percent, followed by Aggreko (2.75 percent), Aberdeen Asset Management (2.27 percent), Hikma Pharmaceuticals (2.19 percent) and Unilever (2.14 percent). Endit
