More than a dozen villagers have been killed in a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall since Wednesday in the northeastern Taplejung district of Nepal, local media reported.
Some people were still reportedly missing in the mountainous area. However the Home Ministry confirmed that only six bodies had been recovered so far.
"The rescue team is already at the site along with a helicopter. We have received six dead bodies, however the death toll might be increasing," Home Ministry spokesman Laxmi Prasad Dhakal told Xinhua over phone. (Nepal-Landslide)

DHAKA -- At least 5 bodies were found after a ferry carrying some 60-70 people sank on Thursday morning in a river in Bangladesh's southern Bhola district, some 205 km away of Dhaka, while an unknown number of passengers remain missing.
Anis Shikder, officer-in-charge of Bhola's Monpura police station, told Xinhua over mobile phone that "five bodies including four children and one woman have so far been found."

ISLAMABAD -- At least four policemen were killed when some unknown militants opened fire at their vehicle in Pakistan's southwest Quetta city on Thursday afternoon, local media reported.
ARY news said that the vehicle, which was carrying four policemen on their routine patrolling across the city, came under attack in Pashtoonabad area of Quetta, the capital city of the country's southwest Balochistan province. (Pakistan-Militants- Attack)

Hong Kong -- All 33 suspected cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) reported in the past 24 hours before Wednesday noon in Hong Kong tested negative, according to the region's health authorities on Thursday.
The Center for Health Protection said the 16 cases pending results on June 10 tested negative for MERS coronavirus (MERS-CoV). Results of the other 17 cases, which were all negative, were already released on Wednesday. (Hong Kong-MERS) Endi
