IOC EB meeting opens discussion on key issues followed by 2022 bid presentations

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) lauched here the Executive Board meeting on Sunday, ahead of crucial presentations from the candidate cities bidding for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
The 15 members of Executive Board, including IOC president Thomas Bach and one of the four vice presidents Yu Zaiqing of China, receiced reports from summer and winter international federations, national Olympic committee, athletes and WADA, as well as reports on Pyeong Chang 2018 Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games of Nanjing 2014, Lillehammer 2016 and Buenos Aires 2018 on Sunday afternoon.
More topics are expected to be discussed regarding the activities of the IOC commissions, those of Coordination Commissions and the OCOGs of Tokyo 2020 and Rio 2016, in addition to updates on the activities of the IOC administration, according to the IOC communications officials.
To follow up, the 2022 candidate cities, Beijing and Almaty, will brief for IOC memebers at the Olympic Museum on Tuesday before each city welcoming the IOC members in their seperate showroom by displaying models, bid videos and answering questions on Wednesday, which is set to give the candidate city opportunities to present their bidding project prior to the election, which takes place during the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur on July 31.
