France's trade gap narrows in April for less buying

Less imports has resulted in a smaller trade deficit for France in April to 3 billion euros, customs figures showed on Friday.
Over the past 12 months, the cumulative trade deficit reached 50 billion euros in total.
Over the period, France recorded 38.2 billion euro foreign sales in April, up 1.4 percent from March thanks to favorable performance in aeronautical exports.
In fact, Airbus sold 29 aircraft worth 2.54 billion euros, up from 25 units offered in March which generated 2.2 billion euros.
At the end of April, import cost fell by 2.1 percent to 41.2 billion euros on slumping supplies mainly of energy products, according to customs data. Endit
