British FTSE 100 drops 0.80 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday decreased by 0.80 percent, or 54.64 points, to 6,804.60 points.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group's share price increased by 1.48 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA, BP and AstraZeneca increased by 1.04 percent, 0.76 percent, 0.73 percent and 0.70 percent respectively.

Marks & Spencer Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.20 percent, followed by Hikma Pharmaceuticals (2.82 percent), WM Morrison Supermarkets (2.64 percent), Smiths Group (2.56 percent) and Aberdeen Asset Management (2.48 percent). Endit
