Singapore stocks close 0.34 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 11.23 points, or 34 percent, to close at 3,333.77.

A total of 1.28 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 18 billion Singapore dollars (870 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 275 to 158, while 526 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 4.84 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 3, 345.00 on Thursday. Endi
