Tokyo stocks open lower in early trading following Wall St. losses

Xinhua, June 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks opened slightly lower in early trading Friday, as overnight losses in U.S. stocks dented investor sentiment.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 75.73 points, or 0.37 percent, from Thursday to 20,412.46. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 10.06 points, or 0.60 percent, to 1,663.83.

All industry groups declined except land transport, with insurance, mining and financing issues leading decliners. Endi
