Vietnam's National Handball Championship starts

Vietnam's National Handball Championship 2015 kicked off Wednesday with the participation of eight teams.

The annual championship is taking place in the coastal city of Quy Nhon, the central province of Binh Dinh from June 3-7. It is expected to improve performances of Vietnam's leading handball athletes and select the best ones for competing at international tournaments, the Vietnam Handball Federation said Wednesday.

Handball is suitable with people of Vietnam, the country has a long coastline, the federation said, noting that Vietnam's beach handball team has won bronze medals at the Asian Beach Games three times. Endit
