Four local officials under graft probe

Four Chinese officials are under investigation for allegedly accepting bribes in separate cases, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Wednesday.

The four are Cui Zhiyong, former chairman of Hebei District Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Tianjin municipality; Shen Donghai, a former secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of urban planning and construction work; Liu Jianzhong, former Party chief of the Shanxi-based Jinneng Group Co., Ltd.; and Liu Zhenglin, former head of the China National Nuclear Corporation 208 Group.

Shen is also suspected of abusing his official power, and Liu Zhenglin is also suspected of embezzling public funds. Endit
