SKOPJE -- Premature parliamentary elections are to be held in Macedonia by the end of April 2016 in an attempt to end the deep political crisis in the country, political leaders decided Tuesday.

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Tuesday that he was "deeply saddened" to learn of the major loss of life as a result of a passenger ship accident on the Yangtze river in China.

TIKRIT, Iraq -- Car bomb attacks killed at least 28 government-backed militiamen and wounded 36 others in Iraq on Tuesday, a security source said.
