Urgent: U.S. dollar rises after economic data

The U.S. dollar rose against other currencies Monday as economic data of the country boosted expectations for an interest rate hike from the Federal Reserve this year.

In late New York trading, the euro moved down to 1.0934 dollars from 1.0980 dollars in the previous session. The dollar bought 124. 84 Japanese yen, higher than 124.06 yen of the previous session. Endite
