Penarol one victory away from winning local tournament

Penarol beat Fenix 2-0 this Sunday and confirmed its status as leader of the Uruguayan football tournament, one point ahead of Uruguayan River Plate, after the 14th and next to last round.
The black and golden team, managed by Pablo Bengoechea, won with goals by Sebastian Piriz (12m) and Luis Aguiar (52m) in the Centenario stadium in Montevideo, in front of 30,000 fans.
The winner of the Clausura tournament (second and closing half of the season) will play the final matches in late June against Nacional, champion of the Apertura tournament (first and opening half of the tournament) and of the annual scoreboard (the sum of Apertura and Clausura).
Penarol is left with 30 points, followed by River with 29 and Defensor, with no chances of beating either teams, with 26 points.
Nacional, preparing for finals, tied against Juventud on Saturday 0-0.
Due to their position on the score table, Nacional (63), Penarol (55) and River Plate (54) had ensured their place on the next Copa Libertadores.
Both places for the Copa Sudamericana will be determined in the last round between Defensor (47), Juventud (44), Racing (44) and Danubio (43).
