Urgent: Oil prices jump as supply glut worries ease

Oil prices surged Friday as a report showed the number of U.S. rigs actively drilling continued to decrease.

Light, sweet crude for July delivery moved up 2.62 U.S. dollars to settle at 60.3 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for July delivery increased 2.98 dollars to close at 65.56 dollars a barrel. Endite
