Singapore stocks close 0.75 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 25.66 points, or 0.75 percent, to close at 3,392.11.

A total of 1.76 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 2. 19 billion Singapore dollars (1.65 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 259 to 192, while 507 others finished unchanged.

The STI index moved down 7.17 points, or 0.21 percent, to close at 3,417.77 on Thursday. Endi
