French stock market index down 0.86 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a slight decrease of 0.86 percent at 5,137.83 points on Thursday, down 44.7 points.

Affected by the situation in Greece and the good indicators from the United States, the CAC 40 closed slightly lower on Thursday with 34 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease, while Kering stayed the same as previous trading day.

The three companies that gained most on Thursday were Lagarge, up 0.85 percent, Pernod Ricard, up 0.62 percent, and Alcatel-Lucent, up 0.58 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Thursday were Valeo, down 2.57 percent, Michelin, down 2.45 percent, and ArcelorMittal, down 2.10 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 1.95 percent at 5,182.53 points, up 98.99 points. Endit
