Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung:

-- Seven FIFA senior officials were arrested on Wednesday for alleged corruption. A probe into the awarding of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups was also announced. Nevertheless, the organization will hold its presidential election on Friday as planned.

-- The European Commission plans to resettle 40,000 refugees from Greece and Italy, and distribute them across other EU member states. Of these refugees, Germany will take in around 9,000 people in the next two years.
