Gandalf meets Monkey King in funny stills

china.org.cn / chinagate.cn, May 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

A set of Photoshopped film stills combined characters from the Chinese classic fantasy tale "Journey to the West" with figures from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit." The images were accompanied by a caption that read, "The Tang dynasty Buddhist monk Xuanzang and his three disciples [the main characters in "Journey to the West"] succeeded in opening a gate for communication between China and western countries. This time, it's the western figures' turn to make their rounds." The photos have attracted many comments from amused netizens. [Photo/Weibo]
