Gunmen kill 3 policemen in Pakistan's Karachi

At least three policemen were killed when some unknown gunmen opened fire at a vehicle carrying them in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Wednesday morning, police said.

Deputy Inspector General Police Feroze Shah said that the killed cops included a sub-inspector and two constables who were targeted in Azizabad area of Karachi, the capital city of the country's south Sindh province.

He said that four militants riding on motorbikes attacked the policemen with 9mm pistols and fled the scene.

The police vehicle was parked at the roadside and the cops were sleeping inside it after completing their night shift, when the assailants attacked them from a close range.

Police cordoned off the area for investigations.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a report from the inspector general police. Endi
