Tokyo stocks close slightly lower on Wall Street losses, profit-taking

Xinhua, May 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks closed 0.06 percent lower in the morning session of Wednesday as losses on Wall Street overnight dented investor sentiment and traders moved to lock in gains following the Nikkei index's eight-day winning streak through Tuesday.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 12.33 points, from Tuesday to 20,425.15. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange shed 1.74 points, or 0.10 percent, to 1,657.83.

Decliners were led by mining, information and communication and

financing business issues. Endi
