All group leaders win in second stage of Asian Women's Volleyball Championship

Four group stage leaders, hosts China, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea all won their first match in the second stage at Asian Women's Volleyball Championship here on Saturday.

Group A leader China beat Japan's backup team 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-10). The young Japan team shower their will especially in offense with their spiker Sakamoto Nanaka. But China then adjusted their strategy and showed dominance in blocking.

Group B leader Thailand also enjoyed a 3-0 win over Kazakhstan (25-11, 25-19, 25-12) while Kim Yeonkoung led Group D leader South Korea to defeat Chinese Taipei 3-0 (25-12, 25-20 and 25-19.

Group C leader Vietnam had an tough day with coming back from behind twice to beat Iran with 21-25, 25-17, 26-28, 25-22 and 15-12.

Sunday will see the second round of the second stage. China will play against Vietnam and South Korea will meet Thailand. Endi
