Singapore stocks close almost flat

Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.18 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 3,439.86.

A total of 2.13 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 2. 21 billion Singapore dollars (1.66 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 225 to 186, while 548 others finished unchanged.
