Bosch reports robust sales growth in Mobility Solutions sector

The Bosch Group of Germany on Wednesday reported robust sales growth in its Mobility Solutions sector.

The sector's sales grew 7 percent in the first quarter of 2015 after adjusting for exchange-rate effects, the company announced at its 62nd Bosch International Automotive Press Briefing here. Nominal growth was as high as 13 percent, said a press release.

"Technologically and internationally, our position is so good that we will again grow significantly faster than the market this year," said Rolf Bulander, the chairman of the sector, which is the largest business sector of Bosch Group.

Bulander identified electrification, automation and connectivity as three development paths to attractive and sustainable car of the future.

He continued to elaborate that stricter efficiency and emissions regulations will promote electromobility. Automated driving makes road traffic more efficient and safer and connected driving can help find savings, he said.

The business volume of Mobility Solutions sector in Bosch Group grew by 8.9 percent in 2014, twice as fast as global automotive production. Enditem
