China "concerned" over U.S. espionage charges

China is "strongly concerned" over six Chinese nationals charged with economic espionage in the United States, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

"The Chinese side is strongly concerned over the matter and we are checking further details about it," Hong Lei said at a daily news briefing.

The U.S government charges accused the six Chinese nationals of stealing wireless technology from two companies, according to reports.

Hong said China would make sure the legitimate rights of the Chinese citizens are guaranteed. Endi
