Urgent: Iran to respond "strongly" to any war in Persian Gulf: supreme leader

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said here on Wednesday that Iran will respond "very strongly" to any war in Persian Gulf near its borders.

"We have some news that the enemies in cooperation with some (countries) in Persian Gulf are intending to begin proxy war near Iran's borders" he said, adding that they should know that if this happens, Iran's response would be "very tough." Endit
