Visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said here Tuesday that China and Brazil have signed trade agreements worth 27 billion U.S. dollars.

Li made the remarks at a joint press conference with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff after they held talks and attended a video ground-breaking ceremony for the ultra-high voltage electricity transmission project in the Belo Monte hydroelectric dam. (China-Brazil-Li)

WASHINGTON -- A cruise ship that originated in Boston, U.S. State of Massachusetts, run aground Tuesday in Bermuda after temporarily losing power, all are safe, local media reported.

According to Boston-base WCVB News, there are currently 2,675 passengers and 1,062 crew members on board of the Norwegian Dawn, which lost power around 5 p.m. local time Tuesday. (U.S.-Cruise-Bermuda)

COTONOU -- The Constitutional Court of Benin has authorized the postponement of the municipal, communal and local elections from May 31 to June 28, the Constitutional Court announced here late Tuesday.

The Constitutional Court also invited the Head of State of Benin to reconvene the electorate for its consultation on June 26. (Benin-Postpone-Election)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. and partner-nation military forces continued to conduct airstrikes against the Islamic State ( IS) forces in Syria and Iraq over the past two days, the U.S. Defense Department said Tuesday.

Fighter and bomber aircraft conducted a total of seven airstrikes in Syria and 14 airstrikes in Iraq, said a statement from the department. (U.S.-IS-Airstrike)

ALGIERS -- Algerian military said on Tuesday it killed 22 militants in what it deemed the most important anti-terror operation in 20 years in the northern province of Bouira, local media reported.

Army troops surrounded 30 militants affiliated to al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), killing 22 of them, a security source said, adding that the rest are still under manhunt, according to the TSA news website. (Algeria-Militant-Operation) Endi
