Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday launched the World Bank-funded E-Albania project to provide public services online in a bid to fight corruption among public offices.
Calling it an avant-garde project, the prime minister said it will help citizens to get a range of services in one place, without wasting time and reducing cost.
He said the citizens will be able to access public services with reduced procedures, without bureaucracies.
An online commercial center of services will be created in the capital city of Tirana to provide assistance to citizens, Rama said.
The Albanian government is working in cooperation with international experts and World Bank on building a data base, creating an important infrastructure via a big service center in Tirana.
Director of National Registration Center, Vasilika Vjero, said that the portal easily creates facilities for the business owners or administrators, and registration guarantees secure applications and provides faster and uninterruptible services. Endit
