1st LD: Car bomb rocks central Afghan capital

An explosion rocked near the Justice Ministry building, in a crowded business district in the central part of the Afghan capital of Kabul on Tuesday, leaving causalities, an official source said.

"A car bomb went off at the gate of parking lot at the backside of the Justice Ministry. We still cannot disclose precise details on causalities. There were causalities, both civilian and police," the source said.

The blast took place at around 3:45 p.m. local time (1115 GMT), he said.

The Afghan security forces sealed off the scene, while ambulances and civilian cars evacuated the victims to the city's hospitals.
