Indonesian envoy wounded in chopper crash in Pakistan passes away

Indonesian ambassador to Pakistan, who was among the victims of the crash of a Pakistani military helicopter in Pakistan earlier this month, passed away at 00:50 local time in a hospital in Singapore on Tuesday, Indonesian President Joko Widodo said.

Ambassador Burhan Muhmmad of 58 years old died after having medical treatment in the Singapore General Hospital since May 12, said Widodo, making him the third foreign envoy killed in the accident.

Widodo extended heartfelt condolence to the ambassador's family and relatives.

"I deeply mourn on (the death). Hopefully the family members can be strong to face this," he said before a cabinet meeting at the State Palace.

The ambassador passed away following the death of his wife Hery Listyawati who also among people on board when the chopper went down at Gilgit-Balkistan mountain of Pakistan on May 8.

Burhan had suffered from serious burned at most of his body after the crash. Endi
