Canada wins ice hockey world championship

Canada won the IIHF ice hockey World Championship after beating Russia 6-1 in the final on Sunday in Prague, Czech Republic.

After eight years, Canada won the championship again. It won all the ten matches it played at the 2015 championship, never having to play overtime.

The United States won the third place after defeating the Czech Republic 3-0.

The 43-year-old Czech Jaromir Jagr also announced retirement from the national team on Sunday following the world championship campaign. Endi
