(Sports) Vietnam plays DPRK 1-1 in friendly football match

Xinhua, May 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vietnamese players finished a friendly football match with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) 1-1 in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Sunday night.

Vietnam scored the first goal of the match at the 64th minute. The goal was made by striker Mac Hong Quan only three minutes after he entered the game from the substitute bench.

However, the DPRK players set the game to draw after a penalty at the 84th minute of the game.

The DPRK team arrived in Hanoi with experienced players who played host Vietnam five years ago at the final match of the Vietnam Football Federation Sonha Cup in 2010 when Vietnam lost 0- 2.

Five of the 21 Korean players who came to Hanoi were part of the team that earlier defeated Vietnam. Endi
