Nigeria to play qualifier against Chad in northern Kaduna: FA

Xinhua, May 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has said the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in central north state of Kaduna, would play host to the Nigeria vs Chad Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The match would be played on June 13, the NFA said in a statement reaching Xinhua on Friday.

"With the date and venue for Eagle's match against Chad now known, we can now intensify our effort toward winning the game," the statement added.

The 16,000 capacity stadium has a natural turf which is in a very good shape now.

Kaduna, a populous multi-ethnic city, has been given the nod to host match due to its fans previous support to the national teams.

The last time the Eagles played in that stadium was a friendly against the Etalons of Burkina Faso in September 2013.

The match was played three days after a Super Eagles World Cup qualification victory over Malawi in southern city of Calabar. Endit
