British FTSE 100 loses 1.37 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday decreased by 1.37 percent, or 96.05 points, to 6,933.80 points.

Experian led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.14 percent, followed by Fresnillo (1.71 percent), Antofagasta (1.15 percent), Randgold Resources Ltd. (0.85 percent) and Lloyds Banking Group (0.48 percent).

EasyJet's share price increased by 9.77 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Kingfisher, Aberdeen Asset Management, Ashtead Group and Hargreaves Lansdown increased by 3.53 percent, 3.44 percent, 3.23 percent and 3.00 percent respectively.

The index has gained 7.31 percent so far this year when measured in U.S. dollar. Endit
