Algeria, France sign partnership deals

Xinhua, May 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Algeria and France on Tuesday signed in Algiers four partnership agreements in the industrial and training domains.

Since the return of Socialists to power in France in May 2012, Algiers and Paris have developed good relations both at the political and economic levels.

The document signing ceremony was co-chaired by visiting French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra.

Earlier on Tuesday, Fabius and Lamamra, accompanied by their respective government officials, inaugurated a trams assembling and maintenance plant in the province of Annaba, 550 km east of Algiers.

Fabius topped an important economic delegation visiting Algeria, as he met with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal. Endit
