Road accident kills 2 Ukrainians in Egypt's Hurghada

Xinhua, May 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Two Ukrainian tourists were killed and 11 others injured in a road accident Tuesday in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Hurghada, official Ahram online reported.

A bus carrying Russian and Ukrainian tourists collided with a truck in the Shokeir area of Hurghada, killing two Ukrainians and injuring 11 others, the report said.

The nationalities of the injured tourists are still unknown.

Due to loose enforcement of traffic laws and lack of road maintenance, road accidents are commonplace in Egypt.

According to the Egyptian Interior Ministry, 15,000 traffic accidents killed over 6,700 people in 2013. Endit
