Xinhua, May 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

The 5th Festival of Chinese Cinema in France (FCCF) opened Monday night in Paris, with French actor Dany Boon and Chinese actress Xu Jinglei attending as guests of honor.

About 10 films produced and released in China between 2014 and 2015 were selected for this year's festival, including the opening film Somewhere Only We Know, directed by guest of honor Xu Jinglei.

Somewhere Only We Know, a romantic comedy filmed entirely in Prague, was released on Chinese screens in February 2014. The film, shown in about 46 cities in the U.S., quickly became the most popular Chinese film across the Atlantic for five years.

As in previous years, the Sino-French film professional meetings are scheduled for May 16 in Cannes. During the round-table discussions, participants will address topics of common interest, such as release of co-production films and commercial films exhibitions in both countries.

The 5th Edition of Chinese Film Festival in France (FCCF) runs from May 11 to June 30, 2015 in Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Cannes, Biarritz and Reunion island. Endit
