LME base metals close lower mostly on Monday

The base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed lower mostly on Monday.

Copper price was little changed on Monday as the largest metals consumer China cut interest rates on Sunday, raising concerns about the extent of a slowdown in demand.

The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 2.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.04 percent, to 6,377.5 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 8 U.S. dollars, or 0.42 percent, to 1,876 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost 36 U.S. dollars, or 1.76 percent, to 2,013 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 28 U.S. dollars, or 1.19 percent, to 2,319 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 82.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.58 percent, to 14,320 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price lost 200 U.S. dollars, or 1.25 percent, to 15,737.5 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
