Ten French killed in Nepal earthquake: foreign ministry

The number of French nationals killed in Nepal's fatal earthquake two weeks ago climbed to 10 people, France's foreign ministry said Monday.

At a daily e-press briefing, Romain Nadal, the Quai d'Orsay spokesperson, announced that 10 French people had lost their lives in the earthquake which devastated Nepal on April 25.

More than 3,000 French nationals were situated in the country when the disaster struck.

As of Monday, 8,046 people were killed and 17,866 others injured in the 7.9-magnitude quake that rocked Nepal on April 25, the government said. Endit
