Moroccan F-16 jet goes missing in Yemen

Xinhua, May 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

A Moroccan F-16 jet taking part in a Saudi-led air campaign in Yemen went missing on Sunday, the Moroccan army said Monday.

The fighter jet has been missing since 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) Sunday, and the pilot of another jet said he didn't see the pilot of the missing fighter eject, an army statement said.

According to local media, Morocco dispatched four F-16 fighter jets to take part in the air raids on Houthi rebels in Yemen, which started late March.

A search operation has been launched. Endit
