Tokyo stocks jump 1.27 pct. in morning on robust U.S. jobs data

Tokyo stocks rose 1.27 percent in the morning session of Monday as investor sentiment was lifted by robust U.S. jobs data released last Friday.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 245.32 points, from Friday to 19,624.51. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 15.81 points, or 1.00 percent, to 1,603.57.

Gainers were led by warehousing and harbor transportation, wholesale trade and nonferrous metals issues. Endi
